What does lawn care cost per visit — and per season?

Pick your property type, set the lawn size anywhere from 500 to 12,000 sq ft, tick the services you want — mowing, a four-application fertilizer program, core aeration, spring or fall cleanup, hedge trimming, mulching — and choose weekly, bi-weekly or one-time visits. The calculator prices each visit and totals the season: a typical detached lawn on a weekly plan lands around $48–70 per cut, or $1,152–1,680 across 24 visits.

Common questions

How much does weekly lawn mowing cost?

Mowing and trimming starts at $38–55 per visit for a small lot and scales with lawn size — every extra square foot adds a little. At the calculator's default detached lot it works out to $48–70 a visit, which is $1,152–1,680 over a 24-visit season.

Is bi-weekly service cheaper than weekly?

Per season, yes — 12 visits instead of 24. Per visit, no: bi-weekly cuts take longer in taller grass, so each one is priced about 20% higher, and a one-time cut carries a 45% premium over the weekly rate.

What do the extra services add?

A four-application fertilizer program runs $280–430 a season for a typical lot, core aeration $90–140, a spring or fall cleanup $160–320, hedge and shrub trimming $85–190, and garden bed mulching $240–420 supplied and spread. Tick them in the calculator to watch the total move.

Does property type change the price?

Yes. The calculator applies a multiplier: semi-detached and town lots price about 15% below a detached lawn, corner lots run about 30% above it because of the extra edging and trim work, and commercial properties price at 1.7 times the residential rate.
